About Vogel Beef
For over 100 years, the Vogel family has been dedicated to farming in NW Ohio. In a world where family farming has become increasingly challenging, it takes the entire family — parents, children, and generations of hands-on experience — to maintain our traditions and uphold the quality our customers expect.
Our Story
In 1985, Mike Vogel purchased Angus cattle, embarking on a journey to breed and raise premium livestock. In recent years, the next generation (son James Vogel & family) have joined the operation, focusing on high-quality genetics and helping elevate the caliber of every animal. Together, they manage every step of the process — from breeding to finishing — ensuring that each animal is nurtured and cared for with precision.
What Makes Us Different
Few operations breed their own cattle and raise them through to finishing. At Vogel Beef, we do both. Every decision — from nutrition and healthcare to pasture management — is carefully considered to produce the highest quality Angus beef available. Raising cattle is demanding, but through hard work, attention to detail, and a passion for farming, we ensure our beef is flavorful, consistent, and responsibly produced.
Family at the Core
Running a family farm is never easy. It takes the commitment of the entire Vogel family to keep our century-old traditions alive. From daily care of the animals to farm management, each family member plays a vital role in producing premium, farm-to-table beef.
